The Golpayegan district lies in the northern part of the Isfahan province, close to Wiss, and they produce the same type of rug. The rugs are produced in a series of different patterns and often have a centrally placed medallion and a clearly defined edge. The patterns are inspired by the British colonial power of the 19th century. The rugs are characterised by being very well designed, durable, and of a good quality of wool.
